Sharp Strain Snow Boa - "Snow White" Pictures

When the second Sharp Snow finally shed on September 1st, almost 2 months after she was born on July 8th, I noticed that she (affectionately named Snow White by my wonderful wife) did not have any yellow coming in. Her entire body was white, while her markings were an off white. She even had a white tongue instead of pink like the first Sharp Snow (Whitesnake). Her tail color also was a light pink compared to the lavender color of the first Sharp Snow.

When the first Sharp Snow shed for the first time at almost 2 months old, he already had some yellow coming in (he was 5 months old in the early comparison pictures taken below on 9/07). She's definitely different, and hopefully Snow White will stay white - Yellow Snow White just doesn't have the same ring to it, lol. Only time will tell, and I'll be sure to post updates as she gets older.

UPDATE - (5/08) I FINALLY got around to taking some new pictures of her! She has kept that off-white/very faint yellow body markings and her tail has turned purple/lavender. She's a month away from being a year old in the pictures below, and she still hasn't "colored-up" anywhere near what the first Sharp Snow has. I posted some new comparison pictures below with the first Sharp Snow so that you can see for yourself the color difference. Of course I will be posting more pics as she matures further - hopefully it will not be so many months apart from the last photo shoot!

UPDATE - (11/08) Well, since it's winter time, I have to take pictures indoors. I setup the photo tent, and snapped a few pics. She still has that nice lavender tail and butter color body. Time will tell (and some future breedings) if this is just a fluke or genetic.....

UPDATE - (4/09) Now that the weather has warmed up here in New Jersey, I took her outside for some new pictures. She still has retained lavender in her tail, but 2 days after the photo shoot she went into shed. The pictures that I took that compare her to Whitesnake didn't come out too well because they were taken in the direct sun (and she is going into shed). Once she sheds, I will get some more pictures to hopefully show how she looks now.
